Jeffery was asked to be a celebrity judge at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts 2009 Cake Walk. Joining him in judging were Vinod Varshney - head of Culinary Arts Program at NAIT and Manager of Culinary Team Alberta, Sal Caltagirone - (Retired) NAIT luminary - Coach Culinary Team NAIT, Sally Vaughn-Johnston author of BRAVO,Best of bridge cookbook, Cake Walk veteran Chef John Berry - the Edmontonians.

Chefs participating include: Chef Ailynn Santos (Whimsical Cake Studio), Chef Patrick Gibson-Hotel Macdonald, Heather-Sweetly Styled, Chefs Gloria Bednarz & Guenter Hess, Art of Cake, Chef Joe Srahulek-Sutton Place Hotel, Cheryl-Cheryl's Creations, Dutchess Bake Shop, Nait culinary team, and finally New Asian Village.

This year there were many drop outs and drama. Some preformers were asked to fill spots jsut hours before the event and some cake decorators didn't get their cakes in on time or at all. Still it was a good night for the Nin Haggerty charity.

There was a silent auction as well with some great prizes as last year. This year Carrie Doll raised even more money getting sold off for a dinner party at her home in a robe with John Barry Catering the event and Con Boland taking a portrait of the auction winner and Carrie in robes.

It was a good event for the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts raising over $15,000.00 for the charity.
